Khaki Blazer - A Wardrobe Staple : Over 40 Style
Hey lovelies,
I hope everyone is safe and well.
While we're in the midst of a Coronavirus lockdown in the UK I've been spending the downtime going through my wardrobe. Decluttering, repairing, and also doing the twice yearly season swap, currently winter to summer.
But some items are year round, those classics that can be layered in autumn winter and stand alone in spring summer. Enter the khaki blazer.
It's no secret that I adore blazers, single breasted, double breasted, wool, linen and everything in between. A blazer is one of the most versatile items you can have in your wardrobe.
If you're ready to invest in a blazer, then a neutral such as black, navy or beige will give you the most outfit options. But if you already own one of these (or maybe a few!) then a good option is khaki or olive.
I consider khaki to be almost a neutral and as such it goes with most items in my neutral wardrobe. I've styled the blazer here with a black T, black belted pants and white trainers for a modern casual look.
This is a great casual office outfit, and will take you from day to night just by swapping the trainers for black heels.
Alternatively a khaki blazer looks great with light wash denim and a white T, or black faux leather leggings and a black polo neck for colder days.
A khaki blazer is truly a year round classic and escaped my season swap, this is one item I'm happy to keep in the wardrobe, a hardworking piece I reach for time and time again.
I hope everyone is safe and well.
