Autumn Leaves : Pops of Red on an Autumn Woodland Walk : Over 40 Style
Hey lovelies,
The weather in the Uk has well and truly changed seasons and it's the perfect time for walking in the countryside admiring the glorious colours of autumn..even in the rain!
Did you spot my new Hunter boots? Let's face it, they're hard to miss. I've wanted a pair of red wellies since reading Paddington Bear books as a child, his cute little suitcase, his cosy little duffle coat and his gorgeous red welly boots. Has anyone else fashioned their style on a childhood book character?!
And this year for my birthday darling daughter Wagdoll'ette bought me the most perfect pair of scarlet Hunter wellies.
Behind The Scenes:
And as always, I took a photo of my wonderful photographer with my phone....so you know my wellies are functional as well as stylish!

And this year for my birthday darling daughter Wagdoll'ette bought me the most perfect pair of scarlet Hunter wellies.
I gave them a good test drive this weekend tramping through wet leaves and muddy woodland in North Yorkshire, and they kept me snug and dry.
The boots are in my usual footwear size (UK6) and I was able to wear thick winter socks comfortably. The calf width is perfect for me with plenty of room for cosy full length welly socks when the weather gets colder. Style wise, the boots have the customary buckle and classic logo details. The chunky cleated sole meant they were totally non slip even though the beautiful woodland path was deadly with slippery leaves.
Hunter Boots have been renowned for their waterproof footwear since the company began in 1856 in Scotland, and their iconic wellies have graced the feet of Royalty and festival goers alike.
I have friends who have owned Hunter boots for 10 years plus and say they are well worth the initial investment, so I'm anticipating lots of walking over the years in my Paddington Bear wellies, plus they match my umbrella perfectly. Coordinated accessories always lovelies!
